Orange slacks go with...?

I recently purchased a pair of Luciano Barbera "burnt orange" slacks (from A Harris), but while they look quite nice by themselves, I am at a bit of a loss as to what I should wear them with...

I've seen other orange slacks listed for sale by SF members, so clearly somebody else is also wearing them. The other possibility, of course, lies within a possible reason for their being sold in the first place!

In any case, suggestions would be great. Below is a picture.

He does it pretty nicely

Add the bowtie and he'll be all set for the first interview.

I could see an open pale blue and white thick-striped shirt. I have a rust colored sport jacket that would probably top it off nicely, but I'd have to see it done to know for sure. A white-with-red-pinstripes shirt would seemingly go well too.

Or you could simply add in a black shirt and orange tie for a Halloween-only type of effect.

Thanks for the tips, everybody! If all else fails, I'll at least have something to go trick-or-treating in.

I have a green with light Orange Windowpane Isaia jacket that works for me with orangish pants, plus navy blue in hot weather.

Keep it simple up top. I like a blue shirt and blazer or dark blue sport coat.

Nothing too busy, I suppose. They are not something I would wear, but I'll admit, these pictures look okay.

I suppose I lack the Savoir Faire to pull it off.

I wear mine (I have 3 or 4 pairs) with light grey, navy, and brown sweaters and jackets. This was from Saturday. In the evening I added a brown cashmere jacket with windowpanes for an outdoor party. It looked great, but no picture.

Personally, I would be quite contrary with them. Rather than using them in Autumn, which would be expected from their colour, I think I would wear them in Spring. Something about the hue makes them sunny and springlike, rather than dark and autumny for me.
