Hi there style-experts!

I ran into this jacket the other day but have a hard knowing if it'll be worth the purchase (it's not that expensive) since it's such a hard jacket to match other colours with. What do you gents think?

Some would say I look like a persian pumpkin and other's would say it looks great on me. I think black pants, white sneakers and black t-shirt like I have here, works. But what else would work really, colour wise? Dark grey pants? light grey pants? navy blue pants?

Perhaps this is a stupid question...but what type of garment is it? Coat? Jacket? Overshirt? Something else?

Either way...No, I would not wear it or own it, even for free. But if i did wear it, I surely would not wear black or dark clothing with it, as it makes it appear even more vibrantly orange. Unless I attended Clemson University, in which I would pair it with deep purple trousers, and then set myself on fire.

Edit: Tangentially, why are your trousers so short? Wearing a heavy top garment but capri short pants and no socks is your intended usage?

Black and orange--how perfect for Halloween! This is a sort of shirt jacket and obviously a very casual garment. Thus, I think it is exempt from the parameters of classic styling.

If you like the way it looks, wear it and be happy.

This is a fairly common American color scheme. It goes well with steel blue and rich walnuts, but I'm referring to firearms, of course. It looks an awful lot like a blaze orange hunting jacket.

But if you like it, do it. I've seen worse.

Lol, this is Style Forum. I thought I might get banned if I admitted I shoot an 870 Express, an XD45, and a Savage 111 that is covered in partially worn off Krylon in tan and olive.

ETA and that I hunt in woodland digital rather than tweed, although I am considering moving to earth-tone plaids and jeans or Dickies.

No offense but that is terrible to the point where I wonder if you're trolling
