I'd say they are very different to people who have shoe collections of more than 10 pairs or so. but they are both bluchers, both brogued, both are heavy/thick, both high quality, would be worn with lots of the same things. lots of folks would make do with 1 of these I think.

the color is different and the last is different

These are not for a particular use, but would prefer to get whichever will be more versatile. If anything I'd say something that would work well casually and could occasionaly be used for business casual/dress.

I have black Bourtons and the lace holes are not really that obvious, but probably a bit more so on the beechnut. On the other hand, do you thing the cigar long wings would fare any better for business casual? My whiskey ones definitely wouldn't.
