The colors would go well with a tan suit and a pale blue shirt, but the pale blue/moss green/salmon color scheme in a classic but bland stripe pattern is a going to be overwhelmed by pretty much anything else, imo.

If it is dove grey (i.e very light) and a really pale blue shirt, I would say, maybe (it's had to match colors without having the garments right there). I see this tie as being in no man's land. It is neither light enough nor dark enough to match strength with a darker wool suit, imo. This is a very seasonal tie. I could see it with something linen (even dark linen) or a light colored tropical wool or cotton number, but otherwise, I'd give it a pass.

A tie for less than $100 at full retail is cheap, in my book.

A tan suit is best, I agree. Or some light color. I am not convinced that this tie can't work with standard grays and blues. Small check shirts would work too, though probably not stripes.

I would not wear this tie in cool weather, however. It strikes me as purely seasonal.

I think it could also work with a pearl grey summer suit.

Ooof. Last time I looked, the rate was less than 1.8.

Funny, that is exactly why I like them so much. Different strokes.
