I've been looking at this painting for a few years now.. I own a few others by the same artist, but this one has always been kind of iffy.. there are days when I 'have to have it' and other days I can live without it.

I've looked at myself in person over 10 times, and I still can't make a decision.

the price is 1700$ CAD.

yeah, that's what I think as well.. but it has this iridescent paint on it, that sparkles in the sun.
makes it seems way nicer.

I don't think the guy's work is uniformly bad though. That particular one just seems a bit amateurish. Who is this guy, by the way?

I like the sunnyside series of paintings. Those look great.

Wouldn't it be a heck of a lot easier to just print out a screencap from Avatar?

He's a local artist, In regards to the sunnyside series... that's his current most popular work.

I have a few landscapes already, I know this painting is weird, and ugly.. but somehow it grabs my attention every time.

It looks like something you'd expect to see in the rec room of a Williamsburg hostel.
