On sale for $399 Euros. How versatile is this coat? How dressed down of an outfit can I wear with it? Also, overall opinions on the quality welcome.

Excuse my ignorance, but I rarely wear dress clothes. What is the difference between this and a blazer? Is it too dressy for jeans? What about chinos? Thanks.

I don't know about the quality of the coat as I'm not familiar with that brand; but a navy sportcoat is quite versatile. You can wear it with chinos, dress pants, with a tie, or dress it down with jeans. And it will go with almost any colour. Is that an actual suit?

I believe the main difference between a sportcoat and a blazer is that a blazer would have metal buttons. There may be other differences but I'm not aware of them, if there are any.

It's just a coat. I think those pants may be another brand. Not sure.

I hope it fits you better than it fits that mannequin.

Margiela is fused, heavily padded in the shoulders, and best for tall thin people. I had 2 sports coats years ago and I thought they were pretty good. Then I tried Isaia. Now I think Margiela is just decent for the design and not for the tailoring or construction.

What does fused mean exactly? I assume that's a bad thing. Okay, so Isaia is superior but costs a lot more right? Can I do better than this for $500?

suitsupply has half canvassed sport coats for $300-400. I'll probably end up buying a suit from them at some point.

ehaberdasher, as well, has them for $400-450, provided he has something in your size. I just bought a Riviera sport coat from him and am really liking it so far.
