I've been looking for a pair of brown and white spectators for a while, and now I've finally found a pair for a decent price.
However, I am getting trigger shy...what can they be worn with? My primary use would be seersucker during the summer, but considering I will be in Manhattan..the seersucker won't come out very often.

What else would spectators look acceptable, and maybe even good with (besides a bowling shirt

)?

I'd wear them with almost any light summery attire--seersucker, as you mentioned; tan or cream colored suits; white, bone, ivory, cream or light tan pants; the lighter shades of blue. There's really a lot they will harmonize with well.

A shirt that says "you may be laughing but the guys on Style Forum are with me." Seriously, I've thought about spectators but unless you're andy warhol or really cool looking, you'll look foppish or dorky or both. If you don't care what people think, then go for it.

They will be fine, no one in this day and age will be shocked. I own several pair.

IMO, they can overpower an outfit, so by the time you pair them up with seersucker, you could go easy on the tie and pocket sq.

Watch the weather, spring time thundershowers in the city will not be kind to that white.

By people, do you mean all the slobs on the street?

Being in a non-spectator wearing country, I have worn my spectators with more casual attire.
