Opinions on how my suit jacket looks?

I took it to a well-known tailor. Not sure how good it turned out. He took in the shoulders, sleeves, and waist, all slightly.

Thank you.

Notice how in the first picture (side profile) that your side vents gap open instead of falling/laying flat? That's too tight around the waist creating this effect. This is from trying to suppress the waist too much.

Your left sleeve is about 1/4" too long.

I am OK with the sleeve length, as I think it may just be how I'm standing, but I did notice the side vents issue.

The funny thing is, I was hoping for the jacket to look a bit more fitted in the waist, which I think would make this problem worse, right? Is there anything he can do to fix it? He acted as if it looked perfect, of course.

If you have a prominent seat (aka big ass), the vents will also gape.

Your best choice is to let the waist out.

I'm trying to understand why the tailor took the waist in if we were going to have this problem.

He had pins all over the place -- three or four in the back and at least two in the front -- is it possible he didn't see this coming?

Plus, when I tried the suit on today, he claimed it looks fine. Maybe he shouldn't have taken in the shoulders? Thanks.
