I have to admit that I was interested in the second pair at first glance, but realized that buying pre-distressed boots is akin to buying pre-distressed jeans. The style/shape isn't half bad, although they are slightly too chunky for my taste.

I rather like the Braggs, but I have no idea if they're well made or not.

Thanks guys. I too like the shape of these boots, but just don't know about the quality.

I'm a computer nerd so I'm not going to be dragging down bad guys on rocky hillsides if you know what I mean. If I want clothes to be distressed by me it'll never happen, which is why they sell pre-distressed stuff in the first place imo. I wanted to the kinda combat, kinda clunky, beater boot look and these seem to be some of the better styles that I've seen for under $250. Hopefully someone will chime in that has actually bought a pair...

    ^lol

If you read the bottom of the shoe from the pictures on the Zappo site it says that they are Goodyear welted. Zappo also has a really good return policy, so you could try them out.

I don't get it? Are you guys just making a statement that is unrelated to the question I posed?
