Indeed, quite a few people seem to be missing the point of the thread. Since the OP will be going bespoke the quality and fit of the suit in the picture, which is probably not bespoke, are not really relevant.

Allright, I thank you for the continued advice. I do allready have more conservative suits. This is simply for my first bespoke, and because I need not rely on a suit for work (I am student), I have no limits on how classic or forwardthinking I can go. I really liked the look of the Turnbull and Asser suit, it can be done MTM for around the same price as good non saville row bespoke. I am considering it strongly, does anyone here have any expereince with them as a companay or even better with their MTM suits? Again, thanks so much for the help, I hope I havent caused an intermemebr consternation.

P.S I fixed the link to the blog.

since you're already covered with the conservative, i would say, go for it with one exception.

The only change i would make would be to go with notch lapels, only because i find the suits i have that are a bit more fashion forward get worn much less.

The suit I like the tie not so much. The pattern is a bit loud and it dose not match the pocket square at all. I do really like the suit though, I have one just like it.

To clarify, i meant in the situation that they're on a single breasted suit, not a tux or double breasted.

If you need clarification beyond that, i suggest you do a search the topic has been beaten to death.

IMO peak lapels are not fashion forward, either on a double breasted or single breasted coat. It is a classic and something a bit different than notch lapels which are everywhere. BTW, there are pics in Flusser's books of gentlemen wearing peak lapel single breasted from back in the 30's.

A little too much going on.
I would omit the ticket pocket.
(Actually I hate ticket pockets)
Peak lapels and slanted pockets,
along with the blue stripes, make
the suit a bit "pushy" for my
taste.

Exactly

Whenever my grandfather (94 years) wears a suit, it always has peaked lapels, and these were made between the 1940-60s.

That doesn't mean they can't be fashion-forward, notch lapels are still much more common.
