Opinion on this suit

Hey guys,

I'm considering purchasing this suit, but I have two questions. The first is, is this suit acceptable in the legal profession, for non-interview or court purposes (yes another one of those questions). The second question is, can this suit jacket be worn as an odd jacket and not look orphaned?

Thanks,

G

The suit looks fine. I, however, am not a fan of wearing suit jackets as odd jackets.

Looks fine, but the answers to the questions depends:

a) How does the suit fit you? If it doens't fit, it won't be appropriate for any profession.

b) I'm not a lawyer (I've never played on TV, haven't spent the night in a Holiday inn, and don't ever want to be one either), but most of them stick to a rather stodgy formulae of conservative navy or gray suits.

Suit jackets can be worn in a pinch. Opinions on the appropriateness vary. YMMV.

It looks like a very handsome suit. When I am in court (I am a landlord), I wear a suit just like that.
That said, be sure it is correctly altered for your unique body. I always pay close attention to sleeve length, as I wear cuff links. Good luck
P.S. I recommend pocket squares for a suit that is this handsome.

Thanks for the opinions so far. Because this is a tweed suit, should I wear a knit instead of a silk tie? I've never owned a tweed suit and am unsure about fabric matching...

Please keep the opinions coming, thanks again.

Personally with tweed I tend to wear woven wool ties, but silk can work fine.
