Worn at the right time a blazer is a great purchase and addition to your wardrobe..
I would prefer them to be worn with more interesting trousers than a plain chino to make the look a bit more modern and would be a nice twist on a classic look.
But go for it there is always space in ones wardrobe for it

way too boxy for a DB blazer....though this is the most common way ppl are using it. Give it a slim and trim cut....you'll be amazed

The navy blazer look as never left, however the double breasted look has and may never be back.

You can still wear a brass buttoned blazer but not the way the guy in your picture does! He looks terrible. I also disagree with bowtielover. Double breasted is fine with me.

Navy DB Blazer with gold buttons. My favorite odd jacket / blazer.

Hi guys, new to the forum.

I was always told that the blue blazer/gray (or khaki) slacks was a classic 'biz informal' or 'IBM' look.

Am I showing my (or my Dad's) age?

I dont know how old you are but I am 20 and would wear that. I love taking outfits that are typically for older gentleman and making them my own with attention to fit and small details.

I'm 41. When I was in my 20's, I worked for the Chicago Tribune company. My Blue/Gray was a mainstay outfit. I had no idea the blue blazer went out of style. My dad always said that the blue blazer was a classic look that would never go out of style.

It will always stay in style. It only takes someone with guts to wear it. It is a tight look.

The DB Blazer may go in and out of style, the colour and type of the buttons may change, but the SB navy blazer, in one form or another, has always been stylish.
