Opinion on Ebay purchase

I just bought a very nice looking Turnbull & Asser shirt off of ebay for $50 that's in great condition (barely even starched), except for one thing: the inside of the left cuff (under the fold of the french, unseen when worn) has a few black spots on it.

The spots weren't advertised in the listing, so I feel somewhat slighted. I can't decide between returning it on principle or keeping it because it looks nice.

Thoughts?

If you like it for the price you paid, keep it.

The spots under the left cuff are caused by the user wearing a watch, no?

I wouldn't think so--they're blotches. For $50, it's a decent shirt, though I'm not sure how much I'll wear it. And, with the spots on the cuff, it loses quite a bit of resale value.

After seeing it, I'm not crazy about how it looks on me--too Gordon Gecko. It's pink with white collar/cuffs, just not really my style. I attached pics.

I had this probem recently with a dry cleaned coat that was advertised that was still stained.

I asked for a discount. They gave it. I've done the same thing before when the item doesnt match up well with the description. In most cases I get something back, otherwise I send it back.

Worst ever for me was a vintage sweater from Iceland that advertised a 'couple' of moth holes, I thought, no problem, I can repair that, well, I stopped counting the moth holes when my count reached 60 -- I left negative feedback and spent about 4 hours repairing it

PS, I think 50 clams is too much for a used shirt.

I would always offer a buyer a discount if an item had a defect I had not seen - however over the years I have bought stuff which was so howlingly badly damaged that it was obvious the seller's were trying it on..with your T&A shirts they must have seen those marks -

The shirt did come folded, which is why I thought that they may not have seen it...But, I'd have to think that they examined it.

$50 - yes, I agree--it was an impulse purchase that I'm definitely regretting (obviously).

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going to email the seller for a little discount tonight, hopefully $20...
