so I've come across some cartier sunglasses. They fit well and look pretty good on me. My only concern is that I think they may be a little too ostentatious. What's your opinion on them?

I think they are awesome in an old school way. If they are a good deal and you don't want them and they are in SF, can you PM me? I was looking at a few pairs last week.

They typically strike me as something a Vegas pit boss might wear on his lunch break.

Here's a pic from their website.

It's a nice pair of frames, but part of thinks it's kind of douche.

I've tried on those very same glasses a few times.

Cartier sunglasses are beautiful and have wonderful finishing, but

a) The leather thingie on those really limits their versatility and is overly affected, IMO.

and

b) They're ******* $700 or something. Just not worth it.

yah, the leather over the nose piece kills it, although I'm sure they were trying to achieve something "different" with it. Otherwise they look nice, as long as you aren't paying over $200 for them. If anything close to $700 that is nuts.

They are very nice and well made. By the way, you can take the leather off. It's removable
