I'm looking to invest in a pair of opera pumps. I really love these ones from Barker Black Glen O'Brien posted on his blog (http://men.style.com/gq/blogs/styleg...es/index.html), but for that price I might have to do without heating and electricity for a month or two. Can anyone recommend a good quality one similar in style for under $400? thx

I didn't see any pictures at your link, however I have a pair from Shipton and H3neage in patent with a flat bow. As I remember, the cost was under $200.

I love opera pumps and have a couple of pair myself.

Have to say, though, I'm not really a fan of the broguing on that one. Broguing is too informal for these shoes. Just doesn't look right to my eye. Looks like a pair of loafers with a bow. I'd prefer a pair of plain calf pumps with a bow over these.
