That certainly gets the HEWSINATOR nod of approval as well.

Those are really sweet... I wish I could justify buying yet another pair of boots.

If you're looking for an alternative, I found a site that makes custom engineer boots in brown, and they will actually fit you. But the leather doesn't look nearly that nice. However, they have lots of different leathers you could probably ask for.

Yeah, those look sweet.
The heal looks really high though, could be the one thing dissuading me from getting them.

Nah, it's pretty normal. Better than a lot of engineer boots, it's not an undercut heel which I think looks particularly weird. In any case, it appears to be a stacked leather heel, so if it really bothered you you might be able to get it shaved down by a cobbler.

Interesting, didn't know "shaving" was even an option.
I do love that Tobacco leather though.

Yeah, stacked leather heels can be completely removed/replaced if necessary, or a layer could be taken out. I think once you got used to wearing the boots, you'd notice they don't look that unusual, though.

1.5" is roughly standard. I don't like the 2" heels on other Frye boots, personally.
