Hi!
Can anyone recommend any Canadian stores that sell online? I can't stomach the shipping/handling and duty costs from the US. I'm looking for basic dress shirts (non-iron!) and slacks, like you get from Brooks Brothers.
If anyone can recommend any decent (not too expensive, not too fashionable -- again, like Brooks Brothers?) stores in Edmonton, that would be appreciated too.
Thanks!

Fellow Edmontonian here. Let me know if you do find anything 'cause I sure can't.

Basically chiming in so I can subscribe to this conversation. There's a thread on justwhiteshirts.com going in here somewhere (search "justwhiteshirts.com") that offers mixed opinions of this Canadian mail-order company -- some vouch for it, others don't, but they seem to fall in the Brooks Brothers price/quality range.

hey im new here. actually a girl who signed up looking to get ideas for my boyfriend for christmas. but i actually might be able to help out a little. ??
shopping online in canada can be tricky if you want to avoid border charges but i DID find a few items of clothes for my guy at an online store called sweet spot. most of the stuff they sell is girl related but they have a section for guys as well. the clothing and accessories are great quality, i ordered him clothes and had no problems with my order. i dont know what your price range is, they do sometimes have deals, but its not a bargain shopping site. maybe it could work for you.
the link is http://sweetguides.ca.

on another note...what do guys want for christmas!?! i know clothes are always good. but he can get those himself!

It's a wasteland up here... but you can minimize your costs if you receive your package via USPS. UPS and Fedex will sodomize you with their "handling" fees.

It's best to look for American stores that ship to Canada. Some American sites have a little flag in the top right corner, you can change it to Canadian, and then see your price.
