I'm trying to find a tie with a specific design. My searches of various quality makers and various websites (Cappelli, Marinella, Drakes), as well as Shop the Finest and eBay, has yielded nothing.

Can anyone recommend a site with an enormous selection of quality ties, ideally one that categorizes and tags the designs well?

+1 to the Sam Hober recommendation. David will make a tie with any dimensions you so desire.

I'd love to go with Sam Hober, but that design isn't what I'm looking for. I should have clarified: I want blue and gold because they're my university's colors (Berkeley). Slate blue and mustard yellow are a bit too different.

These colors would would work. The first (from BB) lacks the second bar. The second would be perfect, but Vanda no longer sells it.

Yeah, I've seen that before. The colors are still off (surprising, since it's supposed to be specifically for Cal)---the gold is too light, and seems to have a bit of green in it, maybe. I also want a double-bar design. Sorry to be so picky.

    Some color examples...

All so close, but not quite there. I already have a BB tie like the first Mountain and Sackett. I don't like the brown in the second. The gold stripes in the Ben Silver ties are too narrow, and I don't like the four-stripe J. Press tie.

Thank you for posting, though... I just have something specific in mind. It's so odd that the design is readily available in other colors, just not a standard navy-and-gold.

Marinella has this one pictured on their website, but I can't find it for sale anywhere. It also looks to be black and not navy, which would be a deal-breaker.

None of the people in the images you posted though have a double bar?

Right. Double bar isn't a Cal thing, it's just a design I happen to like. I posted the photos to give a sense of the school's colors, not any particular pattern.
