1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks man. A little too slim for my taste.

I had something like a 50$ bill from UPS for a Dunderdon coat shipped here from NYC. And I had already paid 18$ for shipping.

    I hate UPS. [IMG]

you and me both. I paid a fucking $80 charge for a $200 package on top of shipping - are you kidding me? I emailed FP and asked if they could ship via USPS.. I'll update this thread if they actually respond to me, but they don't usually answer emails so don't hold your breath [IMG]

Don't you guys get hit with customs fees by Canada Post when the store ships via USPS?

FedEx, UPS, USPS > I (almost) always get hit with customs fees, unless the shipper lies about the value of the item and/or lists it as a "gift", or the rare occasions when the customs fees are buried in the original cost of the item (eg. Yoox.com).

I always get customs fees, but usually it's $10-15 or something around that range. UPS charges on top of that, both a flat rate and a percentage based fee. It's totally ridiculous, every time I get something shipped with UPS I end up regretting it.

That's true, UPS does charge handling fees above and beyond customs. Personally if I'm going to pay handling fees etc. I'd rather have them ship FedEx - UPS in Canada (or at least in the Toronto area) is rather mickey mouse imo.

I always mark "gift" and lower the value when shipping out of country.

RB15, per a phone call to Steven Alan.

For Factory People sale items, use the promo code "seventeen" for an additional 20% off.

Code seventeen is not working. It applies but gives nothing off.

It worked for me. It basically covered shipping costs after looking at my receipt from paypal.

Maybe it does not apply to sale items?
