Here is a close up of the cloth (in reality it's a darker):Funny. I was looking at a picture online of the navy pick and pick and thinking that is probably what I should go for, but of course I will want to see the cloth itself before anything gets made!
It's an old Berg & Berg tie. Colour is pretty accurate.Dear @L.deJong,
This is a very solid choice, enjoy your new suit in health!
Is your knit tie's shade that less than navy, or is it the light conditions of the photograph? Can you share details please?
Cheers,
Dimitris
That is a great choice for a first suit. If it is being bench-made, then it will be enjoyable for the tailors.
The hopsack is from the Jacket and Solaire book. Drapers is not easy to find, which I like and so do my clients. I have the complete Drapers set, as well as their Special Selection, Golden Selection and some vintage bolts that I have. Drapers is definitely my top seller. Beware, while there is some design overlap with VBC, and they weave many Drapers cloths, it is not the same quality. The Hopsack is a great example of a difference in quality of yarns used between VBC for VBC and VBC for Drapers.
