I like my trousers to hang, and keep their shape. Perhaps im misunderstanding? Frescos, hold their shape well.
I don't have any experience with Fox Air, but from the way it's described compared to other high-twists it sounds similar to Standeven Explorer. For trousers, I think Explorer is great for maintaining shape and wrinkle resistance specifically because of the rigidity. But that also leads to some discomfort in the jacket compared to softer worsteds.

From my understanding, they’re very similar.

+1. The rigidity, to me, is a plus.

Yes, I have a pair cream crispaire trousers, which don’t really hold their shape as well as I’d like. Crispaire isn’t for me.

Especially for trousers, I want my trousers to look like they’ve just been pressed, without having to press them every time

Not really sure the best place to pose this question, but I'm sure some of you good folks have some answers: I've been using traveling tailors for years (and will continue!), but I'll be in Naples for about 7 days in September and so I'm thinking of getting some bespoke projects underway there. I would love to know your success stories/recommendations (my short list is Pirozzi, Ciardi, Solito, Dalcuore, but I'm open to other suggestions as well...). I'm also wondering about the scheduling/timing process. Would 7 days be enough time to squeeze in a first appointment followed by a basted fitting? I guess I would go back for a second round of fittings? What do you think? Thanks!

Maybe shoot them an email and send a jacket to measure for a basted fitting….

What are some rigid fall/winter trouser cloth types that some of you prefer?

Obviously woollen flannel and corduroy would not be the list.
Heavy weight flannels & Cavalry twills.

Just did it this month with Zizolfi (order placed on Wednesday, fitting next Tuesday). It definitely helps if you bring your own cloth so they don’t have to wait for the mill to ship it.

I’d also feel more comfortable doing that with someone who speaks fluent English and is responsive via email/ messaging. Andrea Zizolfi is definitely that.

Oh, and maybe order both an SB and a DB 🤭

I’m sorry you’re offended. I didn’t mean to be a dick, but I assume you posted it because you wanted comments and it’s a poor fit. If it’s MTM or off the peg and you’re happy then so be it.
Sir, I am not sure precisely at what point @Jmr928 will arrive at the inevitable conclusion he’s got NO IDEA WHAT HE’S DOING

But I remain hopeful ….
