Folks, Frank has made 3 coats for my employer, including one using Mitchell system in a Molloy Donegal like this beautiful example above, different shade

. See below... Note the coat barely moves in a full "va fungoo" position... The man is a master

My muslin fitting barely moved when I was swinging around :box: . Was very impressive! Frank's shipping out my second fitting today.

Pretty good. Pretty, pretty, pretty good. Not a big fan of one button jackets, especially not in a casual fabric like this, but damn you might have changed my mind on that.

I felt the same way, and now I have 3 of them from @Toninno 3 patch and 3 button, one button on the front and one on each sleeve.

@susanvonrbach what is the weight of this fabric? is it the ones from the stock tweeds that is ~600g/m? or is it the London Lounge special run at about 400g?

I'm considering 600g...but am wondering if it is too heavy for indoor wear...

It is the stock Molloy in the heavier weight, not LL. We bought it from Derek Guy, believe it is still available for sale from Molloy

As far as temperature Mr. s says it is very comfortable autumn-winter-early spring, noting he lives on a mountain in New England, so Your mileage may vary.

PS. While Frank had made two coats previously for Mr. s, this one was done from scratch with a new pattern (using Mitchell system), and all fittings were done via email/Skype. Mr. S says it fits better than anything else he has ("by a long shot"), including cifonelli, chittleborough and Morgan, musella dembech.

@The Chai has most (all?) of his commissions made up as a 1 button.

Yup. Almost everything bar my double breasteds are one button. I have recently experimented with 2 3 roll 2s for a sports coat which I do like but would not hesitate to get a sports coat made in a one button. They 1b config is aesthetically pleasing to my eye

Great looking stuff... I too have never gone for a 1 button but I think its a really great look in any lapel configuration. Will likely give it a try at some point.
