You can have more than one tailor. Adolphe Menjou's autobiography is even titled It Took Nine Tailors.

Crazy to realize you need to commission 99 garments before you can even think about writing the book.

I Sarti Italiani jacket and pants.
Jacket Zegna 14Milmil14
Pants Draper's 4 ply Oatmeal
Sadly pants are too tight around seat for me. Not ISI fault since it's been almost 2 years since initial fitting.

Edit: going to Sam Wazin first for alterations

Dm if you're interested in buying. Waist is 33.5 inches, thighs 13 inches, inseam is 29.25 inches, leg opening 7.5 inches.

There's no fabric left to let it out? It seems like a shame to wait two years for a garment only to get rid it of it right out of the box.

LOL I think I Sarti probably ended up making 85% of American clients a pair of pents in that Drapers 5 Star. Which reminds me that I should email them and ask them to send my stuff.

Yeah, I should have added that I'm in that 85%. And those were Ascot, weren't they?

Do the pants not fit because you started lifting weights and gained muscle or did you just gain unwanted weight? If it’s the latter, you could just go on a diet. If it’s actual muscle in your legs then the pants will need more work.

Little of both. I went from 168 to 182 ( around Feb) back to 175 (now). Cycling, squats all that. I don't recall how I was able to wear skinny jeans with 12inch thigh width 2 years ago weighing 168...

I remember a while back there was discussion about jetted pockets with stitching around the edge that sort of mimicked a patch pocket. Is there a technical term for that? And would anyone have a picture or two to share?

Don't know if there's a technical term, but moddey shared some photos here:

Your tailors should not be making you tight fitting clothes given your body will always fluctuate in size.

3 inch change in waist, 2 inch around seat/thigh is going to make original fitting quite tight.

Tailors would totally make pants with waist +3 inches.

If your body is changing that much I would hold off on having more stuff made. A 3in change to the waistline is pretty sizable.

Should we discuss Kanye’s workout plan?
