That's a really good price if the quality is as you suggest and he can copy an existing pair.
From a pure monetary value standpoint, I think they are very good. They do lack a bit of the intangibles compared to, say Corcos, Dalcuore, Zizolfi, other bigger names. Then again, they are around one fifth the price of those guys.

I'm curious to know a bit more about this process. Are those of you who have worked with this tailoring house living in Europe? Or where else are you living? My sis-in-law lives in Sweden, and my experience/understanding of sending packages back and forth from the North American continent to Europe is less than ideal. Also, I'm assuming that those of you who are talking about this 8-day turnaround time are likewise in Europe? Not sure, and don't feel like prying into everyone's accounts to find out where you all live, etc. But the process is interesting, just in terms of discussion, and I can't say that the work I've seen posted here does not seem promising--it does. Anyway, more info for the curious minded would be appreciated. thx.

I live in the U.S. and it takes around 7-8 days to receive a garment from Pastena after they've acquired the fabric I've chosen.

What do you mean by "intangibles"?
Things like distinct house cuts, certain finishing details, reputation.

Say you want a sports car (Neapolitan makers), Pastena is like maybe an Audi RS3, not an R8 (Panico, Zizolfi, Dalcuore).

A lot cheaper and totally sufficient.

I'll be honest. I never thought to tell Antonio to mimic another garment. I always show him what I like but tell him to make the garment as he sees fit to best suit me.

Worth risking asking Antonio to clone a Liverano jacket? :stirpot:

I didn't ask too much, just 11cm lapels and it came out like a good Neapolitan jacket. I've learned the hard way asking tailors to make something they aren't familiar with. :fu:

New horses coming from Naples. A flannel in a deadstock Fox blue-grey herringbone (to replace a used pair from a suit) and a heavy cotton from the Keats bunch by Brisbane Moss.

No. It is an olive whipcord that was commissioned by London Lounge. And while LL has used Fox, I think (but am not certain) that this one was done at Lovat.

Correct - 1000g LL whipcord came from Lovat. It feels bulletproof! :)

A pea coat in the same cloth, I had cut last year.

Here are two fresco suits. These are the last suits before my old tailor has been retired at 85 years old. I am really thankful to him. I am Sorry for the poor photos , but I just wanted to show that a lot of handwork exists in these two jackets. The collar , the sleeves , the lapel and the lining has been sewn by hand.
