Anybody here heard of Harris and Howard? Looks like they're based near Manchester but travel quite frequently to Houston and Dallas for fittings. According to their website, prices for full bespoke start around the same price as CatD so they're fairly affordable bespoke.

I played with a few projects yesterday. The first is a London Lounge sportscoat that went in for a minor tweak:

The second was to fit a vest for a navy suit:

The third was just in a basting stage. It is a hybrid jacket/coat.

I was wrong about the jacketing in Newcomer's picture. It was not a LL. Rather it was from Porter & Harding.

I am intrigued by the "hydrid jacket/coat." Looks like a DB sport coat, but will it be more like a casual pea coat or something along those lines? Keep us posted!

My first suit was a measuring session, a basted fitting, and a final fitting. My next two suits, pants, and two jackets each were just a final fitting. Tweaks were made to each jacket in each final fitting. It is interesting to see how the same pattern makes up differently with each fabric and with each set of stitches.

My first fitting for my first bespoke suit. By Nick Lopez out of Houston Texas. He's a very nice man and you can tell he loves his craft.

I went with a green linen double breasted suit. Green because I don't have anything that color and linen because I live in south Texas and it seems winter only last a month at most.

I didn't get any pics of the trousers. And I apologize for the bad lighting in the second picture.

I'd be interested to see the final product from Nick. He's really the only local bespoke suit person in Houston.

I'll keep you posted. It will be something that I wear with sweaters in the fall/winter rather than ties. It will be double-breasted but have some elements of a coat (longer, no breast pocket). Nothing is set in stone so we'll see how it goes.
