    That's "stingray" in English. Why are you putting Paris, France after each shoe name? And does the souliers moderator know you are doing this?

    No, shagreen is the term used in English. Technically, stingray was not the original leather used in shagreen (galuchat), but a treated shark (and even farther back, specially prepared horse's or donkey's hide) (aka chagrin).

    However, in recent years most shagreen (galuchat) is stingray, as those shoes most certainly are. Galuchat is not a term used in English.
