Where are the suits made? In Sweden?

Hey there @GnarlyBear,

Great question, as I spent over 2 years finding the right partner for crafting the suits. Since once a day use established Italian mills for fabric, Bemberg lining, genuine horn buttons and High quality trimmings – We needed a partner that adhere to highest standard of workmanship, attention to details and social ideals we stand by. Our chosen partner is a factory in China with more than 30 years’ experience of crafting premium suits with great quality, and also is aligned with our values and beliefs .

Living in Hong Kong we are able to visit the factory on a regular basis for close and personal relationship with the team. As a boutique play, we are happy and fortunate to have found this partner, who also happens to be working with some of the most known suit brands in the world.

We have a fit guarantee, so give it a try! You won’t be disappointed.

XO

Hello SF Fam,

It’s 2019 and we’re finally going digital at a larger scale (we’ve heard the ol’ “www” is great place to connect with new people….)!

In 2018 we’ve invested a ton of time on sourcing and serving our existing clients. In the end we're very proud to have both clients and partners in Sweden, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong, and the US. Thank you!

First out this year is our collection of Ties & Pocket Squares. It’s a launch that has been over 12 months in the making involving:
  • 2 trips to Como
  • 7 meetings with Giorgio in different locations around the world
  • 523 weaves and knits to sort through (this number is estimated...)
  • 4 dinners with Giorgio that are vaguely business related
Please check out the collection here. We’re having a Pre-Order period until January 31st offering 30% discount. The goods will arrive in the end of the month together with the packaging.

Looking Forward to hear your feedback. We’re super proud over this collection, and eager to learn your feedback.
BR, Anders

Do we have to sign up to see the collection?

@Spex - yes to access the pre-order we do require an email address. It's worthwhile for sure, you'll get 30% off and free shipping on orders over 150 USD.

I got my ties today and they're very quite nice. I am, however, suspicious at how much packaging is needed. Is a box, with three individual boxes for ties all wrapped in tissue paper with tissue paper padding inside the boxes really needed? Of course I appreciate the effort but you could probably fit all three ties and the card in a single long box rather than four boxes.

Are your ties and pocket squares that are of the same type (e.g. grey knitted tie, grey knitted pocket square) designed to be worn together? Thanks.

A little while ago I replied to a post from @once a day regarding socks they have in testing, as I love wool and have been looking for a durable mid-weight option. I offered to do some testing here in Canada. Yesterday I received two pairs of merino socks of different weights and a lovely hand written note from Karin. They look great, and I'm looking forward to putting them through their paces. I'm delighted to be part of Beta testing on these. Thanks, guys!

How high are these socks (are the over the calf)? And how much would they cost? It’s hard to find reasonably priced OTC merino wool dress socks here in Toronto (meaning not $30 CAD or more).

I would think $30+ CAD is reaonsable for quality OTC Merino wool dress socks.

Thanks OaD. These are great. I have a few Italian-made knit ties purchased in Naples but these are the first (and second) with the dots sewn into the tie. Beautiful! I will buy more. Any chance of some striped knit or maybe some shantung ties?

Started testing on the heavier weight pair today. Here are some details.

The finishing of my test pair is very good. I have not found any flaws. You can see the overall loft is similar, maybe a touch thicker, than my Corgi wool socks.

The once a day by Glen Clyde, however, are a bit more technical. They use a thicker weave underneath the foot, and the toe and heel boxes. They have a bit of a cuff, as well. This is a similar design to my good Bridgedale hiking/skiing socks.

I am a UK8.5 and the pair I have fit nice and snug, coming up to my mid calf. The merino wool is soft and comfortable, not itchy, and feels cushy underfoot.

Here they are with my vintage Dack's and a pair of Façonnable 5-pockets. Happiness is a new pair of socks!

I'm not sure what happened here, but it seems like the keeper wasn't sewn on completely. There are two little loops emanating from the 'tack' but they don't connect to each other so there's no loop that keeps that corner on. It's something minor and I'll fix it up, but maybe some better care with sewing there would be good.
