The suit is fine - I like it all together; I sure wish he looked happier though. Any sense of enjoyment and confidence is missing from the look.

Recalling a judge's sentence in a Monty Python movie: "I sentence you to hang by the neck until you cheer up."

..............

Quite smashing except for the face part. Tie knot could be a little smaller.

I would differentiate between happiness and confidence. He certainly looks gloomy but not confident? I couldn't say . . . he looks great though. The flower is a nice touch, and he's showing some cuff.

Sorry, but I am not seeing confidence or happiness.

Not bad at all. Perhaps the trousers are a tad long for my taste.

He doesn't look particularly pleased in that photo. Haven't we seen this guy before?

Great look, perfect fit. Flower just the right touch. Good choice of shoes. Knot too big for my taste, but that's just me. Overall grade A+.

Not a good color for his demeanor/personality -- you need a bit of dash, confidence, personal oomph to carry off that particular hue. Bad tie, awful knot. Nice shoes.

Overall I like the outfit, but the jacket looks a tad long to me. And he forgot the most important accessory--a smile.

He looks like his mother just dressed him up for church Sunday morning even though he's an old man. The clothes are nice, but the body language totally kills the look.

Hey, hobo man
Hey, Dapper Dan
You've both got your style
But Brother, you're never fully dressed without a smile!

Your clothes may be
Beau Brummelly
They stand out a mile --
But Brother, you're never fully dressed without a smile!

Who cares what they're wearing from Main Street to Savile Row,
It's what you wear from ear to ear
And not from head to toe that matters

So, Senator,
So, Janitor,
So long for a while
Remember, you're never fully dressed
(Though you may look your best)
You're never fully dressed without a smile!

I agree about the smile, but I think you're being just a little too picky, Margaret. I think he looks excellent.

He is a Decadent Dandy. That is, concerned with the angst of the world but ultimately well-dressed unlike those unforgivably quixotic WTO protesters, and PETA fools.
