See, if the average schmoe wore *these* khakis and *this* polo, the world would be a much better-dressed place with zero extra effort. Instead we get Dockers and whichever golf shirt didn't get worn on Saturday.

    Dig the belt too.

I think that the the belt and the way the rugby shirt (pretty sure what this really is) is) worn over a dress shirt keeps the ensemble from looking like the display at my local Urban Oufitters (of course, I'm sure everything costs about 10x more). I'm still not sompletely convinced, though I know some guys who could pull this off well. They are not guys who would shop at Bergdorfs, though.

I love Bergdorfs and their streetwear i usually awesom, although a lot of the stuff I can't pull off. As for this ensemble, my thoughts are that grown men should not wear rugby's unless you actually play on a rugby team or host Blue's Clues.

This looks like it could be from Abercrombie or American Eagle.

do a lot of guys really wear rugby or polos over button downs with the sleeve rolled all the way up? i've thought about doing it, but even when i try it on, i can never really decide on myself if it's a feasible look (though i suppose the fact that i can't decide is telling in and of itself).

I have, but I wear a short sleeve Lacoste polo knit and get many compliments whenever I wear this look. You should try it.
