I was shredding invoices today when I remembered an already damaged PRL tie that I had lying around. Inspired by Vaclav's burning Corneliani jacket effigy (although with no political undertones this time), I thought I'd have some fun.

Amazingly (and a little disappointing), it was a TKO in the 2nd round for the PRL tie. I think the paper shredder could have gone a third round but I called the match after smelling the distinct odor of an overused electric motor.

Excellent effort.

As a sidenote I had bought some stuff from a Deseret Industries place here to use for a zombie party before Halloween; my story was going to be that my last victim tried to burn me so I had a charred tie and dress shirt. I made a crude flamethower using some good qualitry haircare product of my wife's

but found out that the damn tie would just not burn! Took me almost 25 minutes and some slashing with a knife to get it to look that way.

We had an intern (HS type) at a bank I worked at last year that did that with his tie on.
