On pairing AE Fairfax and dressy cords

Hello, gentlemen
Quick question for the gurus on here. I've got a pair of pretty dressy cords ( German fabric ) which I'm thinking about pairing with AEs. Given that Fairfax style isn't terribly conventional when it comes to classic shoes, do you suppose I'd be able to get away with it ?
If so, I'd like to add some decent sport coat ( thinking E. Zegna class or upwards) to complete the ensemble. Not really worried about the shirts right now, as I own enough Italian ones to start a rental agency

Thanks for your help

I don't see why not. What color are the shoes and pants?

Also, could you post some pics of the Fairfaxes after some wear, if it's not too much trouble? I have a feeling they would look better broken in than in the pictures of them new. (No offense, but the pics make them look like a big log with holes in it.)

Welcome to the forum BTW.

The cords are amber with a very luxurious look to them. As far as AEs, they're chestnut antibes calfskin - and when paired together make a rather tasty combo.
I agree, btw, that most of the Fairfax pics on the net stink.

Sounds like a very striking matchup to me!
