Hey guys as the title says, I dont have much to spend. i want to get well fitting v neck sweaters, dress shirts, some chinos. I have about 200+$ to spend and I dont want to shop at any run of the mill hollister or aero. But definetly affordable. im 5 feet 11. 140 lbs.

Dress Shirts: I thought of investing some of my money into online tailored dress shirts such as Modern Tailor, should I go this route for dress shirts?

Sweaters: Im looking for more of a sturdy sweater, v-neck preferably, one of my pet peeves are logos. I HATE LOGOS. It makes the fabric lol cheap, thats just my opinion, also i dont like that little stitching at the bottom, that just looks wierd.

Pants/Chinos: Anything that fits will and is reasonably priced.

Yea I heard of uniqlo but there sqeaters are like 50-80$ and plus it's online. I'm not sure how online items will do. Any brands you prefer other than uniqlo? For sweaters?

Uniqlo accepts returns. If Uniqlo is too expensive for you, you're fucked.

Hit up a Banana Republic Factory Store. This time of year, you can get a decent start for $200.

Tall, slim and muscular are all considered "weird body shapes" to most designers. If you fit into those categories, then you're screwed OP.

Hit up some thrift stores. If you have any mid-end or higher-end thrift stores you can find some decent brand name stuff there, especially in the ways of shirts and sweaters and occasionally shoes. (Unless you have size 13 feet like me. Then you are FUCKED.)

As for jeans and pants, I've never had luck thrifting for 'em. Express makes a fairly serviceable slim chino that you can get on sale pretty easily. Same for cheap fitted shirts. Though many here may object to the quality, they may be within your price range with the right concoction of coupons and special offers.

There are a lot of Semi-Annual sales going on right now too. Brooks Brothers I believe will be 65% off on the 26th.

I'll second/third whatever uniqlo. H&M/Topman are worth a look for the odd interesting thing, but the quality tends to be much below uniqlo.

Im pretty slim, and I dont really have a build. Anyways, I'll check j.crew. Thrift stores havent crossed my mind, thanks for mentioning that. My feet arent that huge, 9 mens. Have any of you guys actually bought anything from uniqlo? If you have I'd love to know the fit for their sweaters.

Jcrew in store sales are usually garbage. Nothing but a bunch of odd patterned shirts that no one wants. You're much better off reading through the uniqlo thread here and asking questions before you order.

You can also find a bunch of good and cheap shit in the buy/sell forums once you know what you're looking for.

Thanks for the heads up ipractice, consertive colors and patterns I what i mainly want, nothing tacky. I'll definitely look into the uniqlo thread. I searched quite a bit and it looks like people are suggesting a lot of overseas brands.
