Anyone own some of the older R Caurso suits (pre-2005) or is familair with their quality? Just found a navy one that i'm thinking of purchasing at discount but wasn't sure of the quality. I've read about their suits made recently and those made for RLBL, which are quite good, but couldn't find much on some of their older suits.

If you have any insight, maybe owned one and can comment, I'd certainly appreciate it.

Wish I would have seen this earlier...Sorry if this isnt much help but I found this post looking for where I can buy the brand and if the quality experience has been uniform with mine. The best suit I own is an R. Caruso -.Sartoria Parma. I have had it for a number of years(11) and brought it from the tall distinguished african-american at Filene's Basement in Boston back in the late 90's. It has really worn well. It was the first suit I ever had with working buttons on the sleeve.

It is a dark grey, three button, double vent, heavy flannel with a chalk stripe. I have been complemented by a well dressed Brazilian on it..."very elegant suit"; and more notably insulted by a 'Bama..."your gangster suit". The pants legs are a little wide for today's standards, but the proportions of the suit are perfect.

The suit fits more like the RLBL's from the Corneliani days than the more recent cuts.

Great suit!
