Personally, I can't stand those minimalist frames everyone is wearing now--you look like a middle-class housewife.

The larger and more dated the frames, the better.

Agreed. Check these badboys out (he used to wear bigger ones, but he's gotten more subdued of late):

Kim Jong Il is the ultimate Korean style icon. Forget Rain, Se7en and all those other wannabe pretty boys.

btw my frames are Oliver Goldsmiths as well. i love 'em and will continue to wear similar frames regardless of outside opinion. It's the Woody Allen/Michael Caine in me.

I'm going to have to agree with you.

Every time I put on an outfit in the morning I ask myself if Kim Jong Il, the great leader, would approve of my outfit. There is no doubt in my mind, and I'm sure many people in the industry would also concur, that Kim Jong Il, great leader of unfathomable genius, wit, and strength, has single handedly directed the fashion industry for the last ten years.

I'm starting to feel like I'm getting sick, aka doing something very easy and thoughtless for Monday morning at work.

xchen - I've been scoping those for a while... How does the sizing run (compared to chucks or ae, etc)? Did you get them from their website?

I went true to size and they fit like a glove. However, they are also the same size as I wear in Chucks, Jack Purcells, and Allen Edmonds. 1/2 a size up from my Clarks size.

You make me want tatoos Get Smart. Too bad I'm not asian and think it is cheesy to get dragons, samuri's, etc if you are not.

Russian Tatoo's? Big old Commie Symbols, Bears, Vodka bottles?

I don't think it's cheesy for non-asians to get asian imagery. Japanese tattoo images, along with American sailor style, skulls, etc are all time proven classic images that look good on anyone that really gets into them. What IS cheesy are white guys getting kanji lettering.

So true about the kanji. One day I'll find a artist who I like enough and get one. I guess I don't feel comfortable getting a tatoo for just the image without some sort of other connection to it.
