Old threads on how to pack clothes for travel?

I'm in the process of taking the bulk of my wardrobe from Manila for a jaunt through the US, ending in Boston where I'll be studying for a year. Half, in fact, including my formal clothes are already in a large box taken by a cousin who left ahead of me.

Might anyone recall how to find old threads with tips on packing? I searched for "packing" but couldn't find any.

The most important set of tips I'm looking for are for suits. I have a couple of suit jackets I need to take. Right now, I figure I'll put them in a garment bag and either hand carry the bag or place it in the least packed suitcase.

This is (IMO) the best approach for packing. I travel often, long distance and for long periods of time.
