I definitely agree that a different shirt would help.

Hah! If I can be entertaining, then I have done my job.

I don't think that the NdGs are "super high rise" (these have an 11" rise, I think), but I completely buy your point that sitting lower on the hips would be better than what's in the photo (they're already sitting lower now than in the pic)...and that maybe they could be hemmed up a bit. This is only the second time I've worn them, and given my experience with NdGs, I'm going to expect the waist to stretch out about another inch, which will help. Once they're settled in, and gone through one soak or wash, I'll decide to hem them or not. I hope that makes sense.

Overall though: I think that what you propose is a variant of the Party-line look of the SW&D forum...a bit of safety in dullness. Believe me, I completely understand the superiority of dullness in most situations.

    A fair riposte.

Perhaps, if the rise isn't absurd, then you genuinely have a short torso relative to your

May I just say that since your shooting excursion you have returned with approximately 26% less biting, snarky wit in your posts. Whether this deserves commendation or not is entirely your call.

A recent MC fit of yours with the MBT navy jacket and Borrelli trousers, by the way, was utterly superb. Gives your body a lengthening effect which truly illustrates the craftsmanship of the mysterious bespoke tailor.

That's exactly it...I am long legged and short torsoed. But, lest I sound like a broken record, I swear the NdGs are riding lower now.

    Thanks.

I'm definitely listening to the fit and combo comments from everyone. I think I do cold weather SW&D-ish looks better than I do them in the summer. Maybe next week I'll post up something here with an untucked shirt so that the proportions of my freakish body are not so offensive...!

Don't normally post here much, but I thought this fit was sort of SF-esque: [IMG] BoO Gap Sperry

Love it, sh0ebox. Really like the Sperry's even though I'm normally against boat shoes.

You should post more fits, I was reading the Sterlingwear thread and your fit pic was probably the best.

LOL in this case TTS, although despite what your past girlfriends may have told you, size does matter.
