Old double-breasted 3x3 navy suit from 1998

A double-breasted 3x3. You know the look. It's what Michael Caine wore as Austin Power's dad in Goldmember.

Like anything from 1998, the shoulders are very wide and on this particular jacket, the lapels are also very wide.

Should I wear this as a "different" look or should I just continue to hide it in the back of the closet?

Just picture this: a double-breasted with 3 buttons down each side and all 3 buttons on the right side actually button up. It almost looks like, if you can picture it, a naval commander/admiral/whatever rank's naval uniform (that is, if my jacket had brass buttons).

That's a 6x3. I have a couple. Looks nice IMO if done right.

I agree a 6x3 can look great, but the wide lapels and wide shoulders would make it loom awful, IMO. Then again, I may be picturing something completely different than what his suit is. We'd really need to see an actual picture to judge this....

Agreed on the pic, but lapel width varies by the wearer.
