yes, the cold neutralizes the smell some in my experience ... also most people keep baking soda in their freezers which neutralizes the smell even more. so if you have a freezer and baking soda get crack-a-lacking and your jeans won't smell like ass any more.

I just recently went through the process of shrinking 1947 501 LVC's and if 34W (prior to soaking) fits you well I would say go with 36W or, if you like to take risks, buy 34W and wear them wet until they dry (I have not tried this myself, but I think it could work)... Keep in mind that these jeans will definitely shrink (mine have shrunk good 2 inches in waist) and will keep shrinking during first 3 initial washes (according to Levi's).
Good luck!

Context hasn't restocked the ALD belts unfortunately. I like the black one quite a bit.

I think Eason had a picture of an ALD belt but I'm not sure if it was a recent acquisition.

Man, do I need to stop lurking these forums or do I need to lurk more?

Those SC belts are sure nice, unfortunately they don't seem to carry them in size 34...

The black Sugar Cane belt from Self Edge looks perfect!

Too bad they're out of the 32s.

I picked up this suit the other day and I was just looking for some suggestions as to what colors of shirts and ties I might be able to pull off with it. I don't know if the photo really does it justice, but its sort of a gold/khaki hybrid color.

thx

We need a cleaner picture. That one looks like it was taken in the 70's or 80's on a Polaroid camera.

I used a friends camera right after i'd bought it. my camera crapped out... so i guess i will have to ask again when i can take a decent picture, unless someone is able to work with the poor quality one i currently have posted.

Do any affiliates sell PBJs, or is Blue in Green still the only place to get them in the U.S.?

BiG is the only place outside of japan that sells them. Not even a lot of stores in japan sell them as they're a relatively small player in the japanese denim market. Bears have them on rakuten. They're onewash on bears though. And i think after shipping, and proxy fees it comes to about $25-35 cheaper than BiG, but then again, the japanese ordering is a hassle for some and BiG offers returns and free hemming.

PC NC are breaking in nicely after ~2 months.

Annual Labor Day family picnic tomorrow (full day of volleyball, softball, ultimate frisbee, etc.)

Question: Should I wear the APCs? Do I want them to get really grubby (grass, dirt and sweat stains) before I give then their first wash?

Thanks and have an awesome long weekend everybody!

It's up to you, really. If you want to be able to wear them longer to increase the contrast on the fades/combs/whiskers, then you might want to not get them super dirty/sweaty as then you'd have to wash them pretty much. Although, if you want them to look more worn, with dirt/grass stains then go ahead. They'll clean up fine in the wash, but there might be a few marks. It's really just up to you and how you want your jeans to turn out.
