Read a statistic that 90% of Ralph Lauren and Lacoste polo shirts sold on eBay are counterfeit. Seems incredibly high to me, but that was enough to send alarm bells ringing. Those lots in which you can buy choose the size and color of the polos are almost certainly fake.

I would just avoid these altogether if you're concerned about authenticity at all. If you're looking for cheaper Ralph Lauren polos, I would try a Polo Factory Store--they have sales periodically.

Any tailor worth his/her salt can do this for fairly cheap (approx. $10).

Would Cordovan shoes with a Charcoal suit be a no-no?

Edit: And sorry about putting it here, I didn't want to start a new thread in MC

No; it looks sophisticated. (And I am assuming you mean cordovan color, as in burgundy, rather than the leather, which comes in a variety of colors [but most often burgundy].) Cordovan-color shoes go with black, navy, gray, and brown--easily the most versatile color shoe.

I've seen Blue Marlin zip-ups (not necessarily that one) at Saks Off 5th before. (My brother bought one.) Maybe Saks carries it as well.
