1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The Nudies have lower back pockets, a more contoured waistband, larger front pockets, a flattering seat and overall a more European aesthetic (obviously this shouldn't come as a surprise).

The SD's, which are great, do not attract attention in such a manner that the Nudies do - when I say attention, I don't mean "Wow thats fancy pocket stitching." I mean, "Wow those jeans look great on you." My ralfs are pretty much the only pair of jeans I have that I've been complimented on the fit so much.

I see, thanks Brian. I am still at the stage where I can sort of see differences between cuts but cannot point out exactly what those are. That helps. But this forum has been pure suffering for my credit card, lol.

That would have been great but I don't think I ever got a 30% off code; I signed up for the newsletter, too; nothing.

I had to search on google. I found a link (but I forget exactly where) that you paste in and then add your email address to the end. There are instructions. Just keep googling "revolve discount codes" and the like. I think it took me about 20min to find it. Though if you are ordering during business hours, just call them up and ask for it.

    Update:

Got in the RRDS 30x32 yesterday from Revolve. While I was just barely able to button them up all the way (good sign, right [IMG] ), something just did not look right. Plus there were some areas that were, uhm, applying undue pressure in the wrong direction. Anyway, cannot justify paying that much for something that did not look & feel right. Oh well. Maybe I will give the Ola's a whirl, don't know. There were also some selvedge dry RRL on eBay, I'll see what those are like.

Thanks for all the advice [IMG]

rrl are very nice. id reccomend them to anyone. be aware that there are sizing issues with the made in japan ones, but if the ebayer is worth a shit they will give true measurements. for the going price on ebay, you cant beat them.

(the above statements are my opinion based on the 2 pair of made in usa rrl that i own. i doubt the quality could have changed that much, but you never know)

denimdestroyedmylife: Yes, thank you. You and others had already mentionmed that, but I think stretching in THAT way may be difficult. I mean, I am not planning on having children but damn, that was almost painful. Plus the rise ended up looking rather weird (sort of crooked, hard to explain). Ideally I'd need the crotch size and shape of the 31x32 with the waist of the 30x32. Thanks [IMG] cheapmutha: The seller did provide measurements, they are approximately 31x32 before washing so with the initial shrinking then stretching out they may be spot on. I saw some posts over at the other SF about these and sounded really interesting (yes, Japan-made). Plus less than half the retail price of the RRDS, which helps.

My RRDS were squishing my nuts too when I first put them on. However as they loosen up, they drop a little on the hips, evening out the rise and giving you more ball room. I think you should wear them around your house for a day or so before deciding.

YUP! Pull em down as much as possible, no belt, and do some squats, walk up and down the stairs (two or three at a time)----or get them wet to facilitate the stretching.

Oh and switch to boxers/boxer briefs if you haven't already done so.

Llright I finally made a decision - I grabbed from an eBay seller some dry slim RRL - seem really nice (and a lot cheaper). Was a pain in the arse to get them on (shape seems better suited to my body) but now after a few days they have stretched ridiculously. Eeek. A 30 minute cold soak worked a little bit but I think I'll have to put up with them a little larger until I give them the first wash. Seller claimed that these will shrink about an inch at the waist - we'll see.
    Thanks everyone.
