I wouldn't say its "noble", as they are probably writing it off, but it is a nice gesture.

Noble is donating money anonymously, not buying a goofy shirt on eBay.

But I guess it is good marketing for Eton and after all if that's what it takes to get people to donate for a good cause, great.

I've never understood why, on high-value auctions like this, they won't just pay the extra $1.00 to get super-size pictures.
