this tournament does not mean much, but if the u.s. wins you know the american media will hype up this victory to no end and it will be a big boost to soccer in this country, at least temporarily. i fully expect the u.s. to have the ref here. i'm not saying he'll give the u.s. a non-existent penalty, but don't be surprised if you see some legitimate penalties against the u.s. waived off, or some close offside calls in their favor.
