Chicken adobo. It did not suck. Very tender and rich.

i don't like using cheese graters they're a pain to clean. but, using a knife to slice cheese can make for overly chunky and doesn't melt or top as well.

tried the potato peeler, works like a charm! faster, safer imo, easy to clean and you get a nice reasonable melty slice.

I was today years old when i found out letting a tomato fully ripen on the vine is no better than picking it when its half green/half pink.

(would love someone to chime in and prove this wrong btw).

I think I might have finally found the best ingredients for shortbread cookies. Superfine granulated sugar was needlessly hard to find around here, but the pastry flour made the biggest difference.

I hunt for superfine granulated sugar every time my wife finds a baking recipe that calls for it. The other day I was buying regular sugar and noticed they were stocking Domino's superfine sugar. That's the first time I've ever seen it not from a boutique brand at ridiculous prices.

Maybe they'll start selling it in bigger bags eventually.

Dishwasher? I have a 4-sided box grater and I always just toss it in the dishwasher and it comes out clean.

However for your needs, I have 2 different sized Scandinavian cheese slicers (Ostehøvel) and that I really like for slicing cheese for something like a melt/grilled cheese. Cleans up easy.
