high life is by far my favorite lawn mower beer. Has to be ice cold and in a bottle. Reminds me of working in a catering hall and we would put a case in the walk in packed in a mop bucket with ice for when the night was over (or almost over).

Hell yeah. A 12 pack of longnecks costs less than 10 bucks. I can drink that like Gatorade. Once you bleed out from cutting yourself open on that meat slicer, you will be drinking High Life from horned cups in Valhalla.

But where does the meat go?
One of the greatest memories of my dad from my childhood is when I was like 12 or 13 and we were building some porch steps or something. He was a very quiet man and always took his work ethic seriously (cats in the cradle?). Anyway I trying to screw a tread and missed the hole with the screw and he blurts out “Maybe if we put some hair around the hole you’ll hit it!”.

The meat goes in a hole. Always.

Reminds me of the cheap ****** beer (Weidemann’s) we drank in college. The nicest thing I ever heard anybody say about it was, “If you drink it really fast when it’s really cold, it’s not that bad.”

What should I do with this ridiculously luscious duck stock I made last night? I'm kinda thinking a risotto con salsiccia since I have some spicy Italian sausage in my freezer. What else should I put in it?

Braised fennel and orange in it? Reduce the hell out of it and use it as a glaze on some root veg or squash? Noodle soup?
