nothing wrong with not knowing what leaf lard is…

on the other hand, assuming those do are culinary snobs….

I’m sorry you don’t get jokes.

thanks. Definitely at a loss as to what your joke is… that leaf lard is leaves pressed to make vegetable oil? That you never heard the term before? that those that have are snobs?

Regardless i missed what was funny. My bad.

All clad seconds sale early access has started (so lots of stuff in stock). Extra 15% off and free shipping over $60 with code NOVVIPSD15
Code might not work if you are spending less than $60.

@Despos they have the hard anodized 8+10” nonstick 2-pack for $55. Hard to beat that for 2 nice nonsticks. Also one with a 12” for $99.

lots of other great deals on real stainless all clad stuff too.
Will check this out.
bought a 8” and 10” Oxo set.

I mean...I suppose all corporate gifts are ultimately just random ****.

But that's certainly a new one to me.

Probably less likely to end up in a landfill compared to a fleece vest or messenger bag? Although I dunno, maybe in tech people are more willing to show up at their new job at AirBnb with a bag with a Spotify logo from their last job.

It was part of a gift last Christmas with cookie kits as well. But yes, tech people tend to use stuff like this more than folks in other industries. My wife wore a hoodie from her previous company this morning while walking the dogs.

Hell, if Walgreens had given me anything like this when I was a manager there, I’d have never used it, and thrown it away after I quit (if not before).

Have a moussaka in the oven right now.

I do three layers of veg: potatoes, eggplant, zucs. Each layer gets olive oil and seasons. 20 minutes per layer at 350. Makes the spuds nice and crispy by the time the whole thing is cooked.

maybe (probably/definitely) a dumb question, but 60 minutess for the 3 layered dish or one layer/cook 20, another layer/cook 20, etc?

Twenty minutes as each layer is added for a total of 60.

Going into the office for a couple hours so I wanted to get dinner going before I left. Will serve tonight with a cheesy garlic polenta.
