How much protein do you guys think you’re getting in? About 0.8 - 1 per lb? Curious what a typical day of eating involves?

Fwiw I’m barely breaking 100g on normal days, need that extra protein shake otherwise to get about 120g.

What would be some high protein breakfast meals besides eggs or shake?

Edit:

Here's today (mind you I don't measure too much so these number are fairly conservative).
  • Rxbar = 12g
  • Rice cake w/ almond butter + apple and slices of pineapple = 8g
  • Shake + almonds = 31g
  • Rice + three eggs + sardines + broccoli = 44g (not counting the broccoli)
  • = 95g

It's 7:30PM so I can fit in another shake definitely before bed. I'm more asking, curious how to get more creative. This was all eaten in a six hour window I think.

How much do you weigh and what's your activity level? I mean, unless you weigh 100kg and are working hard at getting swole, you're taking in plenty of protein.

Nice, tried anything?
Everything is good. I haven't made any of the levain recipes but no reason to doubt their excellence. I plan on making more this weekend.

Mmmmmmmm burgers. I'm irrationally excited there is a weekly show about them.

Just watched the one from JG Melon and Peter Luger and it made me sad. **** I want to go hit Peter Luger again and get shitfaced afterwards at Lucky Dog.

Damn, made burgers tonight and didn't snap any pics. Ground the meat myself, natch.

I much prefer Keen’s to Luger’s :hide:
Like both. In the good old days, my regular evening rotation on NYC trips was The Langham --> Keens --> The Ginger Man --^-+o_O=*?-> The Langham.

I would happily eat at either. I just always have a hard time with the luger’s service. I like gruff when its authentic... their gruff always seemed like a performance.

Kenji never fails to incorporate some complicated **** into normal recipes. ‘I’m going to add some sodium citrate and rendered beef marrow, blend in some cheddar to make beef cheese. Chill for two hours....’

Damn, that's nice! We had one a couple of years ago and it was the best thing ever. I kept it in its zippered cover and would just toss it in our larger wine cellar when not in use.

Enjoy!
