Posting this here because Captain America (Chris Evans) and it is a pretty wild, true spy story.

I started to watch the Netflix movie The Red Sea Dive Resort last night. It is based on actual events -- Captain America and Dario Naharis smuggled the Queen of Sheba's grandchildren out of Ethiopia in the late 70s/early 80s, by running a fake dive resort in the Sudan. The resort was supposed to be a hideout where the super-spies could chill and stash the kids until the navy came to get them, but it was such a good fake that tourists came and they had to run it like a real diving resort while pulling off feats of derring do.

While I haven't finished it, the movie so far seems to suck and is pretty badly written with a horribly cast bunch of great actors. I highly recommend looking up the actual story which is, really, unbelievably fantastic and ballsy - kind of astounding, in fact, that people could conceive of an operation like that, let alone pull it off. I remember reading about this a few years ago and my jaw dropped. Yours will, too.

If you are too lazy to read the articles (and there is also a book), you can watch the movie and I guess that will get the main idea across. Plus abs.

I watched the rest. Not a great movie, but it got a little better. It's a pity because the story is so incredible. If you watch it, stick around through the end credits for some actual video of the rescues arriving and lots of pictures of the people and operation (including the actual resort and brochures). People can do incredible things.

Saw a preview for this last night. You didn't mention it also stars Omar muthafuckin Little! Way to bury the lede, dude.
