So... I liked the show a lot more before I read the first book. Now I'm confused - they're really adding to certain parts, completely chopping out others, people are meeting at different times (ex - elayne apparently doesn't show up until S2), etc.I've read them.
It's a pretty show, but I'm disappointed overall.
The casting is bad, the script is bad, and they did change quite a bit.
Rosamand Pike is a good actress, but the lead kid/Rand is awful. It was like, "tall redhead, sign him".
And there are no good looking women.
Egwene and Ninaeve are unattractive.
They better do much better with Elaine when she shows up. She's described in the books as extremely beautiful.
Exactly...So... I liked the show a lot more before I read the first book. Now I'm confused - they're really adding to certain parts, completely chopping out others, people are meeting at different times (ex - elayne apparently doesn't show up until S2), etc.
Yeah… I didn’t understand that. And Mat was stealing things and super poor from losing at gambling… but in the books he’s actually extremely lucky and never loses.Exactly...
And they are facing some full on nerd backlash.
A lot of the stuff they are doing makes no sense.
Like in the very beginning. Perrin does not have a wife in the books. So in the show, they don't explain her or really give her any dialogue, and then whamo with the axe.
I thought it made no sense unless they wanted to show him carry around guilt for some reason. But you didn't make anyone know or care for that character, and she's in it for 5 seconds. Lazy storytelling.
I saw Dune in a theater but I suspect that's the last one until the Omicron wave is over. How long until Spiderman is on Disney+?
This looks incredible. I'm far more excited about Across the Spiderverse then No Way Home. Can't wait.
After Mrs GF packed off gran kids to bed. Watched Hawkeye lasted till Rogers the musical….FUBAR another soulless Disney cash cow. Then watched about an hour of Get Back..interesting
