As reported by Slashfilm, during his MasterClass, James Cameron discusses his love for epic set pieces, describing them as "a film within a film." He gives the example of a scene in Avatar in which Jake Sully, played by Sam Worthington, learns how to ride a Mountain Banshee involving an extended flight sequence. Cameron says that someone at the studio wanted him to cut down the runtime of this scene since it adds little narratively to the plot, but he stood his ground.
Studio should’ve cut the whole film.

Well, it does make for a hell of a Disney World ride.

Avatar was one of those rare films that eschewed most clichés in favor of using all of them.

Anybody watching Loki?

It's a trip. These Disney+ shows where they can just burn all the rules are really expanding the universe. And Tom Hiddleston is great of course. Liking Sophi Di Martino a lot too.

I thought ep 3 was a bit of a stall job. Last couple have been bangin’, though. Can’t wait for the finale

Really enjoying Loki, I've rewatched each episode to try to find all the Easter eggs (except episode 3. Nuff said!)
