Man, Conner sucked. I was glad when they tied off his storyline.

I wasn't a big fan of his character, but he had his moments. The ending of season 3 was epic.

They really redeemed him in the few episodes he showed up in season 5.

I love Marvel

Would you happen to be talking about Falcon and Winter Soldier?

Like WandaVision, these weren't my favorite characters from the MCU, but the series has pulled me in. I've been really impressed by how well they've executed these shows

I'm expecting substantial changes, since, IIRC, the book is set in the mid 70s and the main character is a Vietnam vet. Pretty high hopes for it, though.

The Nevers premiered on HBO this week. Not only is it a Joss Whedon show, it’s also exec produced by Jane Espenson and Drew Godard, his cohort from Buffy.

I’m hoping they find that old magic.

I watched the pilot and lost interest pretty quick. I'll give it another couple of episodes to see if I'm able to stay interested.

I’ll give the The Nevers more than a fair chance, as historically, Whedon shows have been pretty slow to warm up. Take Buffy, which was at first glance just so bad before all the characters took root.

It’s interesting: I thought the objections to it were going to be a hesitancy over the recent Whedon scandal, but as someone just pointed out to me, what’s keeping the IMDB rating down is a group of viewers angry at the rah rah girl power dynamic. (Like, have they ever seen a Whedon show?)
